There are numerous opportunities to hike in New Port Richey, Florida as well as surrounding areas. A new coastal nature preserve called Eagle Point Park opened to the public on April 27, 2010 after six years of planning. The park consists of 17 developed acres and approximately 661 acres of conservation land. There is a shell fitness trail with five fitness stations to exercise, a playground for children, and plenty of picnic benches and BBQs throughout the park as well as two picnic shelters and restrooms.
There is a canoe/kayak launch that offers access to the Gulf of Mexico
You can also fish from one of the three docks.

Directions: This park is located at 4499 Strauber Memorial Highway which is off of Trouble Creek Road in New Port Richey Florida. From US 19, go west on Trouble Creek Road approximately 0.9 miles.
